ALGAE BLACK™
Made with renewable biomass waste from farms and produced through a carbon-negative process, this algae-based pigment powder and liquid dispersion replaces petroleum-derived carbon black.
200%
Carbon footprint reduction
Crafted from algae waste and designed to make carbon black a thing of the past
Manufacturers can now cut carbon emissions by using black materials. ALGAE BLACK pigment safely colors a variety of industrial products such as plastics, rubbers, foams, makeup, textiles, and inks (like ALGAE INK™) to achieve a black or desired shade, offering partners a sustainable, drop-in replacement for traditional, petroleum-derived, carbon black.
Available to trial:
-
The Standard Grade of our high-quality, carbon-negative pigment derived from repurposed waste algae biomass in a high-purity black powder form.
Sustainable Composition: Carbon-negative, dry black powder pigment derived from renewable algae sources. 4-8% ash content and <5% moisture. Non-PVC, Non-phthalate, and Non-PAH.
Compatibility: Can be used as a drop-in replacement for carbon black in most applications
Performance: Engineered for low ash and moisture content and deep black coloration
Ideal Uses: Algae black is best for the manufacturing of environmentally sustainable paints, coatings, plastics, textiles, and rubber products, offering deep black coloration, enhanced UV resistance, and eco-friendly credentials derived from renewable algae biomass sources. A safe carbon-negative pigment alternative to replace petroleum-derived carbon black

Derived from repurposed waste algae biomass through our carbon-negative manufacturing process, this Premium Grade of our black powder is finely milled and highly-purified for an intense jet black color.
Sustainable Composition: Carbon-negative, highly purified, finely milled black powder pigment derived from renewable algae sources, 4-8% ash and <5% moisture content. Decreased particle size compared to Standard pigment. Non-PVC, Non-phthalate, and Non-PAH.
Compatibility: Can be used as a drop-in replacement for carbon black in most applications
Performance: Engineered for low ash and mositure content, as well as very fine particle size for enhanced black coloration
Ideal Uses: Algae black is best for the manufacturing of environmentally sustainable paints, coatings, plastics, textiles, and rubber products, offering deep black coloration, enhanced UV resistance, and eco-friendly credentials derived from renewable algae biomass sources. A safe, (drop-in?) carbon-negative pigment alternative to replace petroleum-derieved carbon black
